Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced AWS Cloud professional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing AWS-based cloud infrastructure solutions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Consultation: Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and goals and provide strategic guidance on how AWS services can address these needs.
2. Architecture and Design: Create architecture diagrams and design AWS-based solutions that align with client requirements, best practices, and industry standards.
3. Implementation: Deploy and configure AWS resources, including virtual machines, databases, storage, networking, and security services, to build scalable and reliable cloud solutions.
4. Security and Compliance: Ensure AWS environments are secure by implementing security best practices, compliance standards, and identity and access management (IAM) policies.
5. Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize AWS resources for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
6. Migration: Plan and execute the migration of on-premises applications and workloads to AWS cloud infrastructure.
7. Automation: Utilize AWS services like AWS Lambda, AWS CloudFormation, and AWS Step Functions to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.
8. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to AWS services and infrastructure and provide technical support to clients as needed.
9. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of AWS architectures, configurations, and procedures.
10. Training and Knowledge Transfer: Train client teams on AWS best practices, tools, and technologies to ensure they can manage their AWS environments effectively.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 10+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years of significant hands-on AWS experience
• Experience designing and implementing greenfield multi-account AWS environments
• Significant experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, VPCs, CloudFront, WAF, etc.
• Experience designing, building and implementing automated deployments of infrastructure and applications
• Experience with Terraform and CloudFormation, able to write custom modules and design reusable patterns
• Experience with at least one programming/scripting language, preferably Python
• Experience working with git
• Experience working on the Linux command line

Additional Skills and Experience (Preferred)

• Experience with Terraform Cloud
• Experience with infrastructure tools such as DataDog, Splunk etc.
• Experience with Azure or GCP
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef
