Rentco Equipment Ltd. is a fast-paced local company that has been servicing Grande Prairie and the Peace Country for 60 years. We provide construction, oilfield, and homeowner equipment and consumables in the areas.

We are currently looking for a Journeyman Electrician to work at our Grande Prairie Head Office.

As the Journeyman Electrician, you are responsible for:

• Planning, assembling, installing, testing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and related equipment in rental equipment both in our shop and at customer locations, and our shop buildings
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustments or repairs to ensure compliance with codes and specifications
• Diagnose, locate the cause of, and repair malfunctioning systems
• Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes and specifications

You have the following skills and experience:

• Journeyman Electrician with previous experience working with wiring on heavy duty and rental equipment, such as generators, light towers, welders, etc.
• Class 5 licence with a clean driver's abstract
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment
• Strong attention to detail

You will be able to work in the following conditions:

• Working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Working with your hands and power tools, and lifting heavy objects
• Working while wearing required PPE including steel-toed boots and safety glasses
