What You'll Do:

• Provides leadership, direction, and guidance to Warehouse personnel.
• Responsible for ensuring employee safety.
• Supervision, motivation, and evaluation of Warehouse personnel.
• Plan and implements the efficient and effective utilization of manpower, equipment, and resources.
• Plans and implements effective orientation and training for Warehouse personnel'
• Ensures that safe conditions always exist within the work environment; takes appropriate and effective measures to provide for the health and Safety of employees.
• Develops and fosters strong and effective functional and cross-functional teams.
• Ensures the efficient and effective operation of the Warehouse with a view to ensuring that each customer's needs are met.
• Prepares and completes communication reports, measurement reports, schedules, forms, and other documentation as required and in a timely manner.
• Ensures consistent application of company processes and procedures.
• Ensures security of materials and products.
• Facilitates training and the application of the Warehouse Management system.
• Performs any and all tasks their direct reports perform as needed.
• Certification on all Material Handling Equipment required.
• Undertakes other functions as required.

What You Need to Get the Job Done:

• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Post-Secondary education in operations management, business, transportation or warehousing preferred.
• Knowledge of shipping, operations management, business, transportation or warehousing an asset.
• Prior management or administrative experience in shipping or operations as asset.
• Working knowledge of MS Office software.
• Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills and a strong team orientation.
• High level of self-motivation and initiative.
• Proficiency and dependability in current position.
• Knowledge of WHMIS, GMP and other Health and Safety related programs.
