Job Description

Mission

Are you an Electrical Engineer seeking a new challenge with a well-established and reputable multidiscipline engineering consulting company in the GTA? We provide engineering services in the building industry including transportation facilities, mission critical (data centres), municipal, commercial, and industrial sectors. We are team oriented and have an extensive and growing client base. We are appreciative of candidates with a willingness to learn and take on added responsibility.

Primary Responsibilities

• Managing projects from initial engineering design through to construction completion
• Working towards successful project coordination with internal staff and external project team members
• Detailed electrical design, specification writing, and cost estimating
• Investigate, survey and audit sites
• Tender and construction administration

Qualifications

• A recognized electrical engineering degree and license with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) as a P. Eng.
• 5 years full time Canadian design experience in:
• Power Distribution, On-site standby & emergency power generation, Lighting (indoor and outdoor / site), Building services & life safety systems.
• In depth knowledge of design standards and codes such as, OBC, OESC / ESA, CAN/ULC codes for life safety and emergency systems
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and commercial photometrics calculation software.
• Working knowledge of MicroStation and Revit is an asset
• Access to transportation for off-site reviews and inspections
• Valid driver's licence
