MNRK Music Group is looking for an experienced Project Manager, Artist Management to join our team in Toronto, Ontario or Los Angeles, California. In this role you will serve as a partner to the Artist Manager and provide proactive communication and oversight on assigned artist projects to ensure successful completion. You should have a strong knowledge of the music industry and have experience managing and completing a variety of artist projects.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Providing daily support to external artist business partners (primarily co-managers) to organize efforts in a productive and pragmatic manner.

Including:

  • Tracking ongoing project statuses and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Participating in weekly check-ins with the full management team to report of project statuses.
  • Working within management and artist team on the approval of assets, PR, scheduling, music releases and tour rollout plans, etc.
  • Managing asset and business records storage, organization and sharing with applicable co-management partners.
  • Tracking and maintaining artist catalogues.
  • Liaising with label partners on music release assets and rollouts.
  • Coordinating and booking artist and management travel.
  • Working closely with artist's marketing partners, guiding targets and recommended marketing strategies, and managing artist/marketing profile access.
  • Working closely with artist's legal partners on song clearances, agreements, credits, and shares, as they relate to collaborations.
  • Coordinating with business management partners to track finances as they relate to touring, music releases, merchandise, royalties and other artist business income and expenses.
  • Supporting tour announcements and on sale rollouts in coordination with agents, by providing tour direction/logistical support, hiring and coordinating crew, budgeting and overseeing financial reconciliation.
  • Working with merchandise partners on sourcing new designs, online sales & marketing, and for touring lineup development, sales and logistics.
  • Support with exploring new opportunities, partners, tools, etc. to optimize and grow artist business.
  • Ad hoc support for other artist and management related projects and initiatives where required.

Including:

  • Building a merchandise program within an artists' promotional timeline by supporting product ideation, development, launch and approvals between artist and third partners.
  • Tracking new and existing artist repertoire for the purposes of updating artist and artist business partners and developing metadata for label copy with new releases.
  • Building and maintaining budgets and necessary supporting documents such as artist hospitality and technical riders, calendars, immigration, marketing plan development, travel coordination and itineraries to support live performances and touring as per artist timelines.
  • Digital marketing asset development, tracking, and support for select MNRK Management.

What Makes You Qualified:

  • Arts and/or Business education, College or University level preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years previous music industry experience, specifically and preferably in artist management
  • Exhibits passion, knowledge, and know-how to work across a diverse mix of artist activities.
  • A love and knowledge of music in general and specifically, knowledge of key artists on the management roster.
  • Understanding of MNRK Music Group's unique position in the artist management space, and its other divisions.
  • An ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with day-to-day artist manager-partners and an ability to understand their unique needs and the needs for each artist.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a strong ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A driven self-starter, with a pro-active approach.
  • Familiarity with workflow tools such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of Outlook, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and developing detailed budgets using Excel to track project financial results.
