ARCP is a large heavy civil construction company specializing in excavation and flatworks, pipeline placement, concrete placement, and asphalt paving. We have a job in Liverpool, NS and are seeking an experienced Foreman to oversee the project for its duration. This position is responsible for directing and managing all on-site construction workers and equipment, enforcing the company's directions, policies, procedures, and safety standards, while meeting construction deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a construction setting.
  • Experience in heavy civil works.
  • Able to work in a team environment and provide guidance to your crew.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Foremen are responsible to lead and direct people, equipment, and resources on ARCP construction sites.
  • Engage in open communication with the Superintendent and Project Managers and report any issues that could affect the project.
  • Organize and coordinate the daily activities of all crew members, subcontractors, and equipment.
  • Plan work in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Read and interpret project plan and specifications.
  • Monitor and manage employee attendance.
  • Monitor the behaviours, attitudes, and actions of their crew member to ensure they do not impact the safety of themselves or their co-workers.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained. This includes cleaning and greasing as required.
