We are looking for a talented, versatile and motivated Test Engineer to develop and support test systems for performance evaluation of x-ray imaging medical products, in both production testing and R&D testing activities. The successful candidate will be part of a highly focused and dynamic team working on challenging X-ray technology-related projects to achieve rewarding and fulfilling goals that have a direct impact on society. The position is full-time.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

  • Development, operation and implementation into production of Device Test systems, including both hardware and software for product verification
  • Maintenance and development of software for product test including interface communications required for all system components
  • Design and implement test tools involving both hardware and software, to evaluate product functionality and reliability with comprehensive coverage
  • Establish and support database systems for production test data
  • Contribute to software tool selection decisions for implementation of test sequences and database management
  • Support Engineering group to implement thorough validation of product design against performance requirements
  • Lead and participate in engineering design reviews of test systems
  • Perform and support prototype board or software build evaluation, for test systems.
  • Debug and troubleshooting of hardware with basic lab equipment
  • Design and develop software for Test Fixtures for production or laboratory needs
  • Support product throughout production, including support of new product versions or variants
  • Execute and support Verification + Validation executions for product updates and release
  • Support regulatory compliance and standards certification processes, including IEC 62304 software development protocols
  • Documentation of features and capability for test systems, including block diagrams, functional specification, test plans and engineering reports
  • Work closely with project management, other engineering departments, component suppliers, and contract manufacturing vendors to support project schedules
  • Other duties as may be assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 years experience in test system design of hardware devices, preferably with medical imaging technology
  • Excellent proficiency in software language or tools, such as C, C++, C#, python, LabView
  • Proficiency in database design, implementation and maintenance
  • Experience in basic electronics measurement techniques and test equipment
  • Practical experience in hardware debug and troubleshooting
  • Must have been involved with full product development cycles
  • Proven problem-solving skills to identify root cause of design/product failures
  • Clear verbal and written communication, time management and self-organization skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience in software design for Medical Devices, Medical Imaging Detectors and knowledge of applications
  • Experience in design for quality, design for test, manufacturability and reliability
