We are currently seeking an Engineering Graduate / EIT in Electrical Engineering to join our Bowmanville or Mississauga office. The ideal candidate will have background in HVAC, plumbing, and other aspects of mechanical engineering for buildings. We are appreciative of candidates with a willingness to learn and take on added responsibility.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate with internal staff and external project team members
- Assist project team from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to construction completion including tender and construction/contract administration
- Investigate, survey and audit sites
- Prepare design calculations
- Assist the team with completing technical reports and field review reports
- Assist with preparation of specifications
- Assist with preparation of construction cost estimates
- Assist with project planning including design schedule, and proposed construction schedules
- Ensure compliance to the quality assurance and control program
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institute
- Registered as EIT or P.Eng. in Ontario or eligible (C.E.T.s are also welcome to apply)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the buildings engineering including power, lighting, and building services
- Self-motivation and strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Knowledge of Canadian Design Standards and Codes
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit and lighting calculation software
- Valid driver's licence and access to transportation for project requirements
