They fund ground-breaking education, cutting-edge research, next-generation technologies, and facility enhancements. They also support a growing number of specialized centers of health care excellence located at the Royal Alexandra Hospital campus, including the Lois Hole Hospital for Women, the CK Hui Heart Centre, the Orthopedic Surgery Centre, and the Eye Institute of Alberta.
The Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation is looking for the next star to join the organization. Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Development Officer, Annual Giving, will be responsible for the success and growth of the Foundation's monthly giving, employee engagement, direct mail, and online fundraising programs. As a dedicated professional, you will be donor-centric and committed to providing a high level of service, both internally and externally, to support the growth of the annual giving program.
As the Development Officer, Annual Giving, your responsibilities may include:
- Developing approaches to increase revenue through donor retention and monthly giving program
- Increasing giving levels while building valuable relationships with potential and existing donors
- Providing analysis and strategic direction on direct mail initiatives
- Increasing employee engagement through the AHS Staff Giving
- Coordinating and attending events while delivering content for third-party hosts such as donors, businesses, and universities
- Driving online action toward our Online Giving campaigns through the development of marketing content and strategies
- Fostering the growth of best practices supporting the areas of gift processing, data management, and donor relations
On your resume, we ask that you outline the following:
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent, in Business Administration or related field
- 3+ years of experience in fund development within a non-profit environment
- Proven track record of revenue growth, with experience in monthly giving, online fundraising, and direct mail
- High level of understanding and experience with computer programs such as Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Experience with donor databases (Raiser's Edge) and online fundraising platforms (Luminate and Blackbaud NXT)

- Demonstration of creativity and diligence in identifying and cultivating new relationships with potential donors
- Agreement to a Security Clearance Check and ability to present a valid Alberta Driver's License upon hire
