Our client, a well respected Waste Management service is looking to add a Red Seal Vehicle Mechanic to its growing family in Saint John, NB! This is an absolutely fantastic Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm opportunity.THE ROLEPerform diagnostic tests for routine maintenance procedures and determine a course of action for damaged parts and systemsRepair malfunctioning components, retrofit engines, change brakes, adjust steering systems, replace worn-out parts and change hydraulic fluidsRoutinely use computerized equipment along with lathes, welding torches, pneumatic wrenches, hydraulic jacks, screwdrivers, pliers, mallets and precision gaugesTest drive trucks before and after repairsWorking primarily in the shop, however there may be times when the fleet could need you for a road callREQUIREMENTSRed Seal Vehicle Mechanic CertificationHigh school diploma or GED Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on an occasional basisMust be able to crouch, bend, stand on a continuous basisPrevious experience working in a maintenance facility or related environment is an assetMicrosoft Word experience is an assetWHAT WE OFFER$35.00 PER HOUROccupation Health and Safety TrainingPrompt weekly payroll through direct deposit onlyREFER TALENT.
