Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Customer Relationship Management:
· Generate and maintain a robust list of prospective clients in the food service industry.
· Develop and nurture relationships with existing and potential customers.
· Understand client needs and provide tailored product solutions.
2. Product Knowledge:
· Demonstrate a detailed knowledge of various meat products, including cuts, quality, and pricing.
· Stay abreast of market trends and competitor offerings.
· Provide customers with accurate and up-to-date information on products.
3. Margin Management:
· Analyze pricing and profit margins to ensure competitive and profitable sales.
· Negotiate pricing and contracts with customers while prioritizing margin goals.
· Implement pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
4. Order Processing:
· Receive and process orders from clients promptly and accurately.
· Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of products.
· Manage inventory and forecast product availability to meet customer demands.
5. Sales Reporting:
· Maintain detailed records of sales activities and customer interactions.
· Prepare sales reports, analyze data, and identify trends for continuous improvement.
· Provide regular updates to the management team on sales performance.
Education and Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, management or a related field.
· Previous sales experience (minimum 1 year), preferably in the meat or grocery industry.
· Strong knowledge of various grocery products, and market dynamics.
· Excellent analytical, problem solving, negotiation, communication (Fluent in English), and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet ambitious sales targets.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
· High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Additional Details:
· Competitive salary based on experience plus commission.
· On-site role with approximately 25% travel.
