Job DescriptionCIMA+ is seeking to hire a Transportation Engineering Technologist to support our expanding traffic and roadway safety practice in Ontario. You will have the opportunity to broaden your experience by being exposed to many aspects of transportation, including traffic operational studies, roadway and railway safety reviews, traffic data collection and processing, research and literature reviews, and consultation with different stakeholders

The opening is available in any one of our southern Ontario offices – Kitchener, Mississauga, London or Burlington.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the engineering and senior technical staff to develop high-quality and technically accurate end products,
- Conduct site visits, field observations and field measurements, summarize and report findings,
- Collect traffic and other relevant data,
- Communicate with Clients and other team members,
- Undertake research and literature reviews in concurrence with various projects,
- Analysis and evaluation of traffic operational conditions using traffic analysis software,
- Preparation of or assistance in the preparation of Technical Reports,
- Creation and maintenance of CIMA+ Project promotional material, and
- Other duties as assigned.
- 3-year Transportation Engineering Technology diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution,
- Familiar with OTM Books, TAC/MTO Design Guides, MUTCD-C, HCM, HTA,
- Working knowledge of traffic analysis software (Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS),
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite,
- CAD skills an asset,
- Valid Driver's license and vehicle an asset,
- Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation an asset, and
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, team oriented with a strong desire to succeed.
- Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy,
- Ability to prioritize a variety of tasks and have the attitude that client service is top priority,
- Proficient technical writer capable of documenting/explaining planning assumptions,
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills,
- Advanced computer skills, and
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
