Nova Paving (Sask) Ltd. is a well-established heavy civil construction company based in Regina, Saskatchewan. We are looking for hard-working, highly motivated individuals for the role of a Construction Labourer. Reporting to the Site Foreman and Project Management Team, this position is responsible for performing a large variety of construction related tasks involving strenuous manual labour in a safe and appropriate manner consistent with company values, policies and procedures. The position runs annually from April to December and we are hiring now for the upcoming the 2024 season!

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License & reliable transportation.
  • Must be reliable, punctual and possess a positive attitude.
  • Comfortable working outside in all weather conditions, often working long days.
  • Able to work as a team and communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers, ensuring all tasks are being completed in a safe and timely manner.
  • Must be able to lift/move items weighing up to 23kg (50lbs).
  • Experience working on water mains, driveways, sidewalks/curbs, and road/bridges will be considered an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly inspect tools and equipment daily.
  • Load/unload construction materials.
  • Mix/pour/spread various materials.
  • Assist heavy equipment operators.
  • Pave and rake asphalt.
  • Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all rules and regulations set forward by foremen.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
  • Other various construction related tasks as instructed.
