About the Role

Reporting to the Product Owner - Training, the Machine Learning Educator serves as a key member of the Education team and an active participant in executing the Amii's business functions.

As an Amii Machine Learning Educator, you'll use your exceptional content development skills and abilities to build and coordinate resources for Amii's massive open online courses (MOOC). More specifically, Ai in Biology and Generative AI Fundamentals and Applications, and Generative AI Essentials from Concepts to Ethics. You'll work alongside a team of professional, creative and highly-skilled content experts to deliver engaging curriculum in a blended learning environment through learner-friendly products. Using your strong organization and communication skills, you'll collaborate and coordinate with our teams in a lean working environment that is open, professional and creative.

Required Skills / Expertise

Key Responsibilities:

  • Firmly establish themselves as a trusted subject matter expert
  • Foster external education/training relationships to capitalize on opportunities to progress work forward
  • Act as trusted advisor and education facilitator to other teams and clients as they work to determine how best AI and ML tools can solve their business problems
  • Assist the Product Owner, Training in assessing the educational needs of the public and targeting upskilling programs appropriately
  • Collaborate with student project contributors to develop content for the AI and Biology Life Sciences MOOC.
  • Work alongside Amii's Training Product Stream and Marketing team to coordinate the production of all assets tied to the MOOC.
  • Contribute to the coordination and management of internal tools and resources required for learner success and team success
  • Monitor internal educational opportunities, follow up with interns and team members to ensure education requirements have been met

Qualifications:

  • Masters or PhD level education in Machine Learning/Computer Science or related field with equivalent experience in Machine Learning
  • 3+ years applied AI experience in bio or health in an asset
  • Post-secondary degree in education or a related field is an asset
  • Experience with and passionate about developing and delivering curriculum; designing effective learning exercises, illustrations of technical concepts, training and evaluation tools; speaking in public, teaching groups of various sizes, and facilitating group activities
  • Proven ability to translate instructional requirements into an interactive and engaging training course
  • Proven ability to translate technical information and concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable speaking in public, teaching groups of various sizes, and facilitating group activities
  • Proficient in eLearning systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and meet project deadlines
  • Inquisitive, with an interest in and ability to test new educational tools and technologies
