Pearl Builders Group is a commercial and residential real estate project management company. With over 20 years of experience amongst the senior management, Pearl Builders deliveries a wide variety of projects. We manage projects from construction to property management encompassing a complete design/build. Our work ranges from the management and development of complete new builds, refurbishments and fit outs for Companies.

The Dump truck driver will work closely with the Construction, Management and Site Team for the smooth running of our projects. This will require extensive communication with the internal team members and external Consulting Engineers, Subtrades, Subcontractors and Suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials such as broken concrete, broken asphalt and hot asphalt
• Load and unload materials onto the truck using heavy equipment such as forklifts
• Safely operate a dump truck to transport materials to and from job sites
• Maintain vehicle and perform required inspections
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and transportation guidelines
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.

Requirements

• Valid Ontario DZ or AZ class license
• 3 years minimum experience driving DZ class vehicles, such as dump trucks, box trucks , etc.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts is a plus
• Drivers must be able to perform pre trip inspections and operate vehicles with safety being a top priority. - Candidates must have a strong work ethic and be reliable - Have your own safety vest, safety shoes and hardhat which must be worn at worksite at all times when driver is outside the truck.
• Safety-focused attitude with experience working in a construction setting.
• Excellent driving skills with the ability to maneuver large vehicles
