Job Title: Business AnalystJob ID: JC694624329Location: Vancouver/ Burnaby, BC - Hybrid What you will be doing:
- Support business readiness activities including workflow analysis, impact assessments and solution analyses to support NG 9-1-1 readiness.
- Conduct feasibility studies, gap analysis and process mapping (including the identification of linkages) to support solution analysis, options analysis, solutioning and recommendations.
- Review, understand, document and analyze existing business workflows.
- Gather and document, requirements, current and future state process / workflow maps, gaps and risk and opportunities.
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements.
- Solid understanding of testing cycles and principles, development of use cases, test scripts and report writing.
- Develop business and use cases, user communications and training documentation.
- Design, develop and implement new processes, procedures, systems and enhancements to support effective change management, stakeholder buy-in and user experience.
- Ensure business process alignment / standardization across stakeholder groups, sites, etc. where possible
- Facilitate meetings (inclusive of agenda, minutes and other meeting materials) where required.
- Produce presentation and training materials, status reports, briefing notes, and other supporting documentation for senior management and governance working groups.
- Contribute to business/client engagement and status meetings.
- Contribute to project status, actions and issues/risk management activities.
- Liaises and coordinates with other project streams leads and associated stakeholders to ensure alignment.
- Contribute subject matter expertise to the program charter and business case.
- Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes.
- Other BA duties as required.
- Minimum 5 years business analyst experience including business process development and re-engineering.
- Demonstrable experience with IT/infrastructure transformation projects, contact center telephony implementation or upgrades and/or public sector project experience.
- CBAP (Certified Business Analyst Professional) designation preferred.
- Process Oriented.
- Knowledge of of Business Analyst principals and methodologies
- Prior experience with Change Management, Modeling and Requirements Management techniques and tools.
- Exceptional client engagement / interpersonal skills and ability to effectively facilitate discussions with a diverse group of stakeholders, users, etc.
- Senior-level ability to translate and express clinical, process and technical problems using business terms.
- Ability to translate requirements into test cases.
- Ability to extract information and knowledge from complex sources.
- Ability to describe business outcome and benefits in layman terms.
- Understanding of how to interpret customer business and clinical needs.
- Analytical and broad-based technical knowledge/skills; with ability to think through details and tactics without losing sight of overall strategic goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and senior level business documentation/writing skills within an IT focused project.
- Ability to manage multiple technical and business stakeholders.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Proven organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Familiarity and understanding of application testing and user acceptance testing processes is required.
- Excellent proficiency with MS Office toolsets (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
