About the job

We are growing and looking for a talented business development professional who will help Ivy build new relationships with site-hosts and private charging clients in the fast-growing electric vehicle charging market.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, this role will support the company's growth through targeted outreach and inbound lead engagement. You will serve as a main point of contact for charging site-hosts and develop charging proposals in collaboration with various internal and external charging project stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity to become a key team member of a high-growth company focused on becoming a leader in electric vehicle charging. As our network and brand grows, this role has the potential to expand in scope.

Key roles & responsibilities

  • Manage leads and opportunities for specific target verticals (i.e. large retail, quick service restaurants, property managers etc.).
  • Manage customer relationships, including tracking of sales flow using Salesforce, outbound lead communication and campaigns, inbound lead tracking.
  • Manage contract processes and commercial arrangements for new business.
  • Develop a working knowledge of federal and provincial EV charging programs and their respective requirements.
  • Engage with cross-functional team members to develop or refine necessary sales tools to attract and acquire new clients.
  • Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to, hardware manufacturers, software and networking providers, operations and maintenance teams etc.
  • Engage with current Ivy site-hosts and customers (B2B) to explore customer perceptions and translate findings into growth opportunities.
  • Drive development of new sales materials and customer facing documents including presentations, digital brochures, customer proposals, and tender documents.
  • Work collaboratively with the entire Ivy team to grow the Ivy brand.
  • Understand the latest industry & technology trends.

Qualifications and experience

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or Engineering;
  • Minimum 7 years of business development, account management or project management experience, with technology-forward products and services. Ideally interacting with a portfolio of clients and acquiring new clients;
  • Demonstrated success in sales, solution development, sales process development/improvement, and customer relationship management;
  • Experience with EV charging technology preferred, at minimum, consumer-facing technology roll-outs;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with strong business acumen;
  • Demonstrated experience with customer analytics and data tools, including CRM;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while effectively adapting to multiple changing priorities;
  • Highly effective team player able to work collaboratively with other business functions (Construction, Operations, Marketing, Legal etc.)
