Frontline Traffic Services is a well-established traffic control company, focused on providing traffic control services throughout Nova Scotia. Our team has had tremendous growth in the last year, and we are excited to keep expanding. We are looking to hire hardworking Traffic Control Person(s) (TCP) to join our growing team for the upcoming 2024 season starting this spring. In this exciting role, you would be responsible for helping manage traffic through construction sites in and around the Halifax/Dartmouth/Sackville area. If you enjoy being outside, working on your feet & have an interest in getting a foot in the door with construction, this is a fantastic opportunity for you! We even provide transportation to and from work!

We offer:

  • Competitive wages starting at $16.50/hour.
  • $19.00/hour for applicants who will be responsible for operating our company vehicles.
    • Drivers must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License, clean drivers abstract, and no "N" or "R" on your license.

  • Transportation to and from work (some exceptions may apply).

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with placing signs, barricades and traffic cones in work areas.
  • Communicate with other TCP in the workplace to regulate traffic safely.
  • Responsible for the safe passage of vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists through work areas.
  • Communicate any incidents or hazards to the Site Supervisor.
  • Ensure a safe work environment in accordance with all policies and procedures.
  • Follow instructions given by Site Foreman/Field Supervisors/Management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions, often working long days.
  • Comfortable working near vehicle traffic and heavy equipment.
  • Required ability to lift up to 30 lbs and standing for long periods of time.
  • Great communication skills and willing to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to interpret both written and verbal instructions.
  • Valid Class 5 License an asset.
  • Valid Nova Scotia Traffic Control Person (TCP) Certification an asset.
