Pacific Programming and Tech Inc., a computer software development firm based out of Montreal, QC, is currently looking for an experienced QA Engineer in the field of manual and pipeline testing for our Vancouver office location. We are currently offering a unique hybrid-work environment which includes remote work-from-home and in-office days for collaborative work.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Analyze and implement test strategies, test processes, and quality metrics that demonstrate impact.
• Ensure functionality meets requirements.
• Identify and write up bugs using clear reproduction steps.
• Run test suites against new functionality.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure overall product quality and reliability.
• Work closely with the development team.
• Support our products against reported problems in an appropriate way.
• Execute automated tests, analyze results as well as create automation scripts and performance test maintenance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience writing and designing test cases.
• 2+ years of UI automation experience with Selenium.
• 1+ years of UI automation experience with Cypress.
• Experience working in a continuous integration and development environment.
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and experience with services such as Azure, AWS, and Oracle Cloud.

Good to Have

• Experience working with Software Testing.
• Experience working API tests.
• Database/SQL knowledge.
• Experience with Performance Testing tools - Load Generators, Performance Monitoring tools, Reporting tools, etc.
• Strong knowledge in CI/CD pipelines and experience using open-source tools like Git, Stash, and Jenkins.
