Job Overview
The Knowledge Analyst (Technical Writer, Trainer) is responsible for providing Knowledge Management and technical writing and training support. In the role the Knowledge Analyst will review, update, organize existing documentation and provide training to IT to align with ISO 27001 guidelines.

Role

  • Be a highly organized individual with excellent time management skills.
  • Participate with interviews and assessments to enhance and deliver systems related tools and technologies, including developing new procedures for electronic records, data, and digital information
  • Identify and classify data repositorties and assist with other data governance activities.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain content for Knowledge Repositories
  • Disseminate knowledge through training and documentation
  • Develop and maintain documentation templates to align with standards
  • Organize, write, edit, and produce documentation for IT, staff and external users.
  • Perform scheduled reviews to evaluate existing documentation and make recommendations for improvements to our documentation
  • Coordinate and implement quality-control activities required to ensure the accuracy and adequacy of documentation, including peer and final reviews, editing for compliance with all applicable specifications and standards, validation, and change verification
  • Ensure documentation complies with all applicable specifications, standards
  • Perform other duties as required

Required Skills

  • Working towards a University degree/College diploma in the field of Computer Science and/or Information Security
  • Previous experience developing, editing, process, procedures, guidelines, training aids and the lifecycle of the documentation
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Inherently demonstrate a high level of integrity and be trustworthy
  • Be quick to respond to requests for service from all of your clients
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Openly share your knowledge with the teams
  • Be approachable with your superior interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills
  • Be aware of and mitigate enterprise risk factors and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, legislation and FirstOntario policies and procedures
