About the Role:

DataStealth is seeking an experienced Software Engineer in Test to join our dedicated Engineering team as the first testing engineer member. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our Data Security Platform through rigorous testing and validation processes, as well as helping build out QA best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and security
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and identify testing needs
• Perform various types of testing, including functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and system testing
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using testing frameworks/tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG)
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Participate in requirement reviews, design reviews, and other QA-related meetings
• Contribute to improving testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance overall QA efficiency and effectiveness
• Mentor junior QA team members and provide guidance on testing best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in Test/QA, with a focus on testing web-based applications and comfortable with both manual and automated testing
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, TestNG)
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus
• Solid knowledge of SQL and databases for data validation
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams
