As a General Accountant, you will:

• Responsible for financial reporting including but no limited to;
  • Cash monitoring and reporting
  • General journal posting
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Fixed assets, creating maintenance, and depreciation
  • Intragroup billings
  • Payroll reconciliation and posting
  • Month end closing
  • Review GL accounts, analysing and clearing
• HST and PST filing
• Assist with audit requests from external auditors
• Assist with projects and initiatives within the corporate finance team
• Work collaboratively with others within the finance team, business units and external stakeholders

Our ideal candidate has:

• University/College diploma in Accounting, Business Admin or relevant education
• 2-3 years of experience in full cycle accounting or similar role (Construction Industry preferred)
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience with SAP and other ERP systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical and organizational skills with superior attention to detail
• Ability to work independently within a team environment
• Ability to handle strict deadlines and work under pressure
• Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude
