As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented and passionate SecDevOps Engineer to join Sopra Steria's Cybersecurity division (I2S), in our downtown Toronto office located in Financial District. You will play a crucial role in integrating security practices within our DevOps processes. You will collaborate with software developers, system operators (SysOps), and other key stakeholders to create automated, secure, and efficient software deployment pipelines. Your expertise will help us enhance our capabilities in delivering secure and high-quality software solutions to our clients.

Sopra Steria Infrastructure & Security Services (I2S) is a subsidiary of Sopra Steria dedicated to infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity activities. It plays a key role in Sopra Steria's end-to-end services. With 3,000 employees, Sopra Steria I2S stands out for the flexibility of its delivery model, combining client proximity from our 8 agencies with the advanced industrial capabilities of our offshore service centers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive security strategy within the DevOps lifecycle, from coding and deployment to maintenance and updates
  • Work closely with development teams to identify security issues in code, utilizing static and dynamic code analysis tools, and provide guidance on remediation
  • Automate security controls and compliance validation to ensure that development and operational activities adhere to company policies and regulatory standards
  • Participate in the creation and deployment of infrastructure as code (IaC) to ensure secure and scalable cloud environments
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments on existing applications and infrastructure, reporting findings and recommending improvements
  • Foster a culture of security awareness among the development teams by providing training and resources on secure coding practices and security best practices
  • Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques, and apply this knowledge to protect the company and its clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in a SecDevOps, DevSecOps, or a related role, preferably in an IT consulting environment
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible)
  • Solid knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with security tools and practices, including but not limited to, static and dynamic analysis tools, firewall and intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong ability to work across different teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Previous work in a multicultural environment
  • English required / French is a plus
