An opportunity to join Border Paving Ltd. in an entry level position on a full time year round basis is available for the right person who is mechanically inclined, self motivated with good attention to detail and a great attitude. Must be physically fit and able to perform labour related tasks for extended periods of time. A valid Class 5 license is the minimum class required for this position

Job Overview and Responsibilities

• Provide general assistance around the shop, including administrative and technical tasks
• Participate and maintain detailed records of serviced equipment
• Clean and maintain equipment as directed
• Maintenance and repair of shop equipment and tools
• Occasional operation of some heavy equipment (forklifts, rollers, skid steers, etc.)
• Transport or deliver components and equipment as directed
• Maintain wash bays and associated equipment
• Yard upkeep and maintenance
• Custodial duties
• Requires a flexible work schedule including overtime, weekend and out of town work as required during the construction season (May - November)
• Comply with safe working procedures and practices
• Other duties as required
