What This Role Involves:

The Senior Systems Administrator at the Credit Counselling Society is responsible for a number of key responsibilities which include the following:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage third-party offerings to enhance business operations.
  • Build integrations and interoperability between various SaaS and legacy applications.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Lead by example, setting high standards for technical excellence and professionalism.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to align technology initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices and policies.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and implement proactive measures.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts for routine tasks.
  • Provide advanced technical support for incidents and issues.

What We Have To Offer:

The starting salary for this role is $80,000, with some opportunity to credit additional previous experience. In addition, we offer an annual salary review process each January, so the successful candidate can expect to receive regular increases to their salary, subject to meeting established performance objectives.

What We Are Looking For:

The successful applicant for this position will bring the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience and certifications.
  • 3+ years experience as a senior systems administrator.
  • 7+ years experience in the technology industry in increasingly senior roles.
  • Expertise in managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience in managing network infrastructure and security.
  • Extensive experience with SaaS solutions and integration.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, SQL) and automation tools.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant industry certifications are an asset.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position that requires you to have the ability to work remotely from your home. Additionally, this position will be required to work from our New Westminster office with a usual frequency of 1 day per week.
