If you are a highly motivated Registered Nurse with experience in a leadership role and a passion for fertility and women's health, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Pacific Centre for Reproductive Medicine, Edmonton. The Nurse Manager is responsible for managing all clinical teams, focusing on excellent patient care, teamwork, as well as proactively managing clinical operations. What you'll be doing:
  • Maintain nursing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Hold regular meetings with appropriate clinical staff and leadership to promote engagement and effective communication.
  • Maintain clinical staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training nurses.
  • Maintain nursing staff results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Coordinate patient treatment plans.
  • Investigate and resolve patient care management problems, relays outcomes to Managing Director.
  • Assist physicians in Operating Room during egg retrievals, endoscopic, and gynecologic procedures.
  • Perform IUI in accordance with standards.
  • Ensure operation of medical and administrative equipment by verifying emergency equipment availability; completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintain equipment inventories, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Maintain monthly and daily clinical schedules
  • Support and oversight of supply chain management to ensure appropriate supply inventory and cost effectiveness.
  • Ensures processes and procedures are followed, developed and/or modified to achieve the facility customer service standards
  • Support payroll for all clinical staff members.
  • Administrative reporting/tasks and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years Nurse Management experience
  • Minimum 10 years nursing experience
  • Licensed RN in relevant province with College of Nursing registration BSN, Degree or Diploma in nursing
  • Certificate in BLS and ACLS with AED Training
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations, willing to learn and adapt.
  • Manual dexterity and mobility required.
  • Must be able to lift, push, move, and/or carry supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds and occasionally be able to bend, stoop, crouch or kneel.
