Job Title: Senior Snowflake Architect Location: Toronto(Hybrid)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Architect in Technology with a strong background in Azure services, Snowflake, and programming languages such as JavaScript and Python. With a focus on Life and Annuities Insurance, this role is pivotal in designing and implementing robust, scalable solutions that drive our digital transformation efforts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud architecture and data processing technologies, aiming to enhance our capabilities and deliver innovation

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance solutions using Azure and Snowflake technologies.
- Develop and maintain architectures for cloud-based systems, ensuring they meet business requirements and industry practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and systems into existing infrastructure.
- Utilize Azure Event Hub, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Functions to streamline data ingestion, processing, and analytics workflows.
- Implement security measures using Azure Key Vault and Azure DevOps to safeguard sensitive information.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval processes with Azure Data Lake Store, ensuring efficient data management.
- Monitor system performance using Azure Monitor, identifying and resolving issues to maintain high availability.
- Design and implement real-time data processing pipelines using Kafka, Snowpipe, and Snowflake Streams.
- Develop and manage tasks and workflows in Snowflake to automate data processing and reporting.
- Leverage Snowpark to build and deploy scalable data applications, enhancing data analysis capabilities.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements to architecture and processes.
- Ensure solutions are aligned with the Life and Annuities Insurance domain, meeting regulatory and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with JavaScript, Python, and Azure cloud services.
- Strong background in Snowflake technologies and data processing tools.
- Familiarity with Kafka and real-time data processing architectures.
- Deep understanding of cloud security practices and infrastructure management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Prior experience in the Life and Annuities Insurance domain is essential
