The Role

Reporting directly to our Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Project Delivery and Support will oversee a team of Project Managers, Deployment Engineers and Support professionals as they implement and support our public safety software solutions to our public sector clients. The role will be tasked with managing a number of different product lines and will interact with all functions within our organization.

This is a full time position in our Ottawa, Ontario office with approximately 5-10% travel required around North America.

What You'll Do

  • Provide direction and guidance to the project managers and their project teams as they look to implement our solutions and delight our customers
  • Liaise between Implementation, Sales, Partner Success, Engineering and Product Teams
  • Delegate new projects to direct reports in such a way as to optimize the teams' productivity and effectiveness
  • Ensure projects meet agreed to project timelines, schedules, budgets, quality standards and customer requirements
  • Conduct risk analysis and monitor the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets
  • Review project deliverables and ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Conduct hiring, promotion, and employee performance and reviews
  • Track issues and support items through to resolution with internal Versaterm Stakeholders
  • Continuously report on project statuses to the COO
  • Perform post-implementation project audits to measure project success
  • Facilitate the transition of the accounts to the designated Partner Success Manager upon implementation

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, preferably in the software space with public sector clients
  • Minimum 3 years of managing and mentoring project managers
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in project deployment, technical support and customer service
  • Highly effective communicator and organization/documentation skills
  • Skilled at understanding and documenting customer software requirements and workflow
  • Experienced with Project Management tools and processes; PMP preferred but not mandatory
