Summary
Equinox is seeking an experienced and proficient Senior Pipeline Engineer to join our team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to the successful execution of projects, particularly focusing on the installation of pipelines and associated facilities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Execution of pipeline engineering scope for assigned projects.
  • Preparation and professional sealing of engineering drawings for pipeline alignment and crossings.
  • Review and approval of final pipeline routing analysis reports, actively participating in the routing process.
  • Preparation and content creation of pipeline materials and equipment specifications, particularly for Design Basis Memoranda.
  • Review of technical bid submissions for materials, equipment, and services.
  • Assessment of pipeline hydraulic studies and related pipeline schematics.
  • Coordination of the project pipeline engineering team and collaboration with the drafting team.
  • Oversight of pipeline group activities in coordination with other project disciplines.
  • Mentorship of junior engineering and technical staff in the pipeline discipline.
  • Ensuring compliance with project plans and procedures.
  • Implementation of corporate quality and safety standards in projects.
  • Assistance in preparing engineering work scope and cost estimations as needed.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard quality and safety systems and principles.
  • Adherence to corporate policies and procedures, ensuring compliance.

  • Demonstrated expertise in Pipeline Engineering, emphasizing the installation of pipelines and associated facilities.
  • Extensive experience in pipeline system design and construction.
  • Leadership in establishing design specifications and procuring equipment and piping.

  • High level of initiative, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.

Education & QualificationsEducation and Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) with a preferred degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 8-15 years of experience in pipeline design.
  • Work experience in the downstream oil and gas industry, particularly in Western Canada.
  • Familiarity with CSA Z662, ASME B31.4, and B31.8 codes, as well as related standards.
  • Experience working with Canadian jurisdictions and their various acts and regulations.
