Our client is one of the leading multi service law firms located in the heart of downtown Toronto.
Your new role
• Preparing legal documents from written, oral and taped instructions and precedents • Drafting routine correspondence on behalf of lawyer• Collecting data and drafting reports • Applying proofreading and editing skills to documents and correspondence • Assisting in management of lawyer's practice, i.e., opening /closing files, arranging meetings, scheduling hearing dates, arranging travel and/or accommodations • Managing bring forward system and keeping lawyer apprised of matters in office • Coordinating with process servers regarding service and filing of legal documents• Drafting cover/service letters and coordinating delivery of documents • Providing support to other lawyers and staff as required and requested• Working with Caselines, ACL etc. • Other duties as requiredWhat you will need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must have minimum of 2 years relevant experience. You will bring with you a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills and would be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace. Ability to multitask and support multiple lawyers. Strong technical skills using Caseline, ACL etc. as required.
