Other. is seeking a Associate Director of Media Planning & Strategy, to join our team as soon as availability allows.

Other. is raising the bar in the Canadian advertising industry, setting a new standard for accountability, transparency, and opportunity for the people on our team and the clients that we serve.

We are a privately owned Toronto-based team of 40, led by a small leadership group with backgrounds from large advertising agency networks. Having been appointed to the Globe & Mail's list of Canada's Top Growing companies, Other. is experiencing rapid business growth and is in the process of making key strategic hires to support that growth.

Our physical headquarters is located in Toronto's King West neighbourhood, along with another office just steps from Parliament Hill in Ottawa. We operate on a permanent flexible hybrid-working model with essential in-person time currently limited to monthly team meetings or in-person client meetings.

What You'd Be Up To

The Associate Director role is a hybrid position where you will be actively leading the client's media strategy and plans while managing a smaller team in place to support. You will be expected to represent the planning team on both internal & client communications alike including statuses, reporting and campaign briefings. You will ultimately be responsible for the strategic direction while overseeing execution for our clients and driving them toward success.

The Work & Your Opportunity To Grow

You will be responsible for leading the strategy and execution of each stage of Other.'s proprietary methodology for maximizing performance for paid media camapigns. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing the media planning component of key client relationships and ultimately responsible for proactively making media recommendations on an ongoing basis to hit client KPI's.
  • Providing strategic guidance of your clients and ensuring all deliverables are executed on-time and at a high level of quality.
  • Representing the media planning team on client-facing communications including briefings, statuses, deliverables, and presentations.
  • Leading the development of media plans with support from junior team members, forecasting results from media plans, and providing POV's when needed.
  • Overseeing end-to-end execution and ensure a high level of accuracy and rigour when working with partners
  • Proactively analyze performance and collaborate across department to optimize plans, to achieve client KPI's
  • Generating & communicating key program insights and actions directly to clients
  • Overseeing day to day work, monitoring team metrics and identifying areas for individual growth and development. Able to handle scheduling and resourcing.
  • Providing guidance and prioritize day-to-day task for junior team members
