WHAT YOU WILL DO

Under the direction of the Development Supervisor, the Senior Forest Technician will be responsible for forest development activities including reconnaissance road/cutblock engineering, ecological and riparian assessments, and completing the associated plans, deliverables, and appraisal packages in a safe, timely, cost effective and professional manner.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • A safety conscious attitude;
  • Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in forestry;
  • Registered or eligible to be registered with the FPBC as an RPF or RFT;
  • A minimum of three (3) years of operational forestry experience in British Columbia;
  • A minimum of one (1) year of multiphase timber development project management in British Columbia;
  • Solid understanding of, and experience in, operational planning (cut block/road development processes). Experience using LiDAR for forest development planning would be an asset;
  • A strong understanding of the forest legislation, regulation and policy impacting forest planning and management in British Columbia; and
  • Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
