Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Director of IT Operations to join their dynamic team. In this crucial role, you'll be responsible for aligning IT with their strategic initiatives, overseeing and coordinating key projects, and leading a skilled team to achieve their ambitious goals.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage a high-performing IT team and provide exceptional support to internal stakeholders across the organization.
  • Partner with business leaders to strategically manage and expand IT services for both internal and external clients.
  • Collaborate closely with the Information Security and R&D teams to refine technology strategies and ensure robust cybersecurity measures.
  • Oversee all aspects of IT infrastructure, including core systems, cloud services, and desktop support.
  • Communicate IT recommendations and key performance indicators effectively to senior leadership.
  • Manage the IT budget and lead negotiations with vendors.
  • Drive the execution of diverse projects, such as technology upgrades and enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain extensive knowledge base documentation for IT procedures.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and operational efficiency.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Canadian Citizenship
  • Local presence to the Vancouver, BC area with the ability to commute into the Vancouver office on a hybrid schedule.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading and motivating a high-performing IT team.
  • A track record of success managing internal and client-facing IT services.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
  • Prior experience owning and executing IT strategy and budgets within a high-growth software or technology company.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to bridge the gap between IT and business objectives.
  • A passion for staying ahead of technology trends and recommending innovative solutions.

Salary:

  • *The targeted salary range for this full-time direct hire role is $130k-$150k CAD
