Position: System Engineering Specialist

Reporting To: Senior Manager, Engineering

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the optimization, configuration, implementation, support, and user training of our logistics systems and will demonstrate the following experience/competencies:

  • 1-3 years working as logistics/supply chain systems super user (ex. TMS, WMS, OMS) or a bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Experience working in the transportation and supply chain industry.
  • Experience deep-diving system issues and developing detail root cause analysis.
  • Ability to aggregate issues and recommend solutions to technical teams.
  • Experience using data to research issues and test new features.
  • Comfortable running training sessions with end users.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • MS Office suite including, but not limited to: Excel, Word, Power Point, Project, Visio.
  • Experience with SQL is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct business in a manner that reflects leadership habits and promotes CMIS values of integrity, teamwork, quality, and innovation.
  • Assist in developing solutions for new and existing customers within CMIS' suite of products.
  • Continuously work on identifying and improving system capabilities and efficiency
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT). UAT planning, oversight, and execution. Facilitate user acceptance testing with IT, operations, clients and internal cross functional teams for material configuration changes, new functionality, and new business implementations.
  • User Training: Conduct end user training on CMIS' systems functionality, optimal processes, and best practices.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for operations with all system related issues and concerns.
  • Identify business needs and pilot new systems / technologies to support CMIS transformation goals.
  • Design new functionality and process within the CMIS suite of products.
