Surveyor - Atlantic Road Construction & Paving

Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a large heavy civil construction company specializing in heavy civil excavation and flatworks, pipeline placement, concrete placement, and asphalt paving. Our team has had tremendous growth in the last year, and we are excited to keep expanding. We are currently looking to hire a Surveyor to join our growing team to help us with our exciting projects on the go and coming up in 2024 in the HRM area. Reporting to management, this position is responsible for providing accurate & comprehensive information to Supervisors, Foremen, Project Managers & other relevant team members in a manner consistent with company values, policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of surveying experience, preferably with Trimble Equipment, or equivalent education.
  • Diploma in Geomatics Engineering or Surveying Technology, or equivalent field training.
  • Must have a valid class 5 Drivers License and an acceptable Drivers Abstract.
  • Previous experience using CAD (Carlson) and Trimble Access considered an asset.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Consistently work in a safe & efficient manner.
  • Work well in a team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide control lines and elevations required for accurate measurements and correct installation of materials.
  • Collect data using GPS/Total station ensuring quality control at all times.
  • Coordinate with co-workers and management to ensure the proper requirements are being met.
  • Maintain company equipment.
  • Perform all work in a safe and secure manner.
  • Other duties as required.
