KIN-DIR Education Foundation is a not-for-profit, Alberta Education approved, private ECS operator in Calgary and area. We screen, assess, and treat developmental delays and disabilities in children 2 years 8 months old to kindergarten age. Our team consists of therapists (Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists) and educators experienced in early childhood development. We also work with families regarding challenging behaviors, developmental tasks, and positive parenting. The services are provided in a variety of settings such as preschools, daycares and in-home.

We are looking for Speech and Language Pathologists to join our team for the SY 2024-2025 to start on August 26, 2024. They will be responsible in offering screening, assessment, and intervention for children which may include but not be limited to:

· delays in sound production, language development, and social communication

· signs or symptoms of oral motor delay

· normal child development specific to speech, language, and communication

· daily routines

· appropriate play

· language processing difficulties

Qualifications:

· Graduate of an accredited speech-language therapy program and an active registrant or be eligible to be registered with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)

· Comfortable working in a variety of settings, family & foster homes, and driving in and around Calgary and area

· Valid Driver's Licence (mileage is reimbursed at the current CRA mileage rate)

· Valid Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search Disclosure upon the start date

· Valid Child Care First Aid and CPR upon the start date

· Exceptional organizational skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Flexible and adaptable to a changing work environment and operational needs of the program

· Able to work and collaborate within a team, and able to take initiative and work independently

· Basic computer skills, basic knowledge of virtual meeting applications and use of cloud storage (ex. OneDrive) and MS Office 365 suite

· Related work experience with special needs children an asset
