The Opportunity

Davis Pier is seeking a Digital Associate to join our consulting firm in Halifax, NS. The successful candidate will join our growing digital team, focusing on solving complex digital challenges, designing innovative solutions and helping to transform public sector.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for technical delivery, working with both internal and external project teams
• Utilize agile and iterative user-centred digital and design processes to ensure stakeholders are satisfied before committing to a solution
• Employ innovative new methods and approaches to uncover rich citizen insights
• Contribute to multi-disciplinary project teams in the role of Project Lead, Lead Service Designer and Consultant
• Researching and qualifying current and future technologies, making technology investments, guiding and role modelling a culture of innovation
• Explaining technical functions to non-technical people, including, fostering excitement for potential of new technologies in the public sector
• Leading business development activities such as researching, developing and pursuing new opportunities, proposal preparation, executive presentations, and relationship building with prospective buyers and influencers

Qualifications

Candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Experience and passion for solving complex problems in the public and social sectors, preferably from a consulting background
• Formal education in design, business, public administration, engineering, or IT
• Experience creating awareness of modern technologies and approaches and guiding organizations to appropriate adoption
• Ability to develop business opportunities
• Interest in leading projects that include designing applications, products and services that balance user needs, business objectives and technological constraints
• Possess the ability to remain flexible concerning approaches to delivering client solutions
• Experience being responsible for complex technology projects, including examining, architecting, and estimating through to a live environment
• Previous experience in project settings, in a professional services environment
• Possess the ability to remain flexible concerning approaches to delivering client solutions
