POSITION: Water Transfer Lead Hand

JOB TYPE: Full Time / Shift Work

LOCATION: Grande Prairie, Alberta

JOB SUMMARY:
The Agency is assisting Aureus in hiring for their busy and growing Water Transfer service line in Grande Prairie. As part of their water solutions team, you will be servicing the oilfield by providing pressure pumping solutions and fluid management services. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to):

  • Safety focus (Safe Work Practices, Safe Operating Procedures) is your top priority; core safety skills training will be provided
  • Monitor conditions of all equipment within the designated work area with a focus on safety, environment and efficiency
  • Perform minor maintenance on shift and enter work notifications as required
  • Operation of equipment such as; skid steer, loader, off road vehicles

  • Monitoring of pump pressures, gauges and RPMS

  • Rigging in & out of various pieces of equipment; hoses, manifolds, pumps
  • Pigging lines and pressure testing

  • Recording flowmeter data and tracking

  • Adhering to hazard identifications and tracking

  • Immediate reporting of any safety hazards or incidents

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Experience & Training

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must possess a clean drivers abstract

  • Must possess a valid drivers license: Class 1, 3 or 5 varies on position

  • REQUIRED valid safety tickets: First Aid, CSO, H2S Alive, WHIMIS

  • Must have a Mechanical Aptitude

  • Vaccination records an asset.

  • Previous experience in Water Transfer, as an Operator, Driller, Roughneck, or in Construction is considered an asset

Physical Requirements

  • Must be physically fit and able to pass our pre-employment screening

  • Physical requirements include bending, safely lifting up to 20 kgs, working in a noisy and sometimes dusty environment
  • Able to climb ladders and stairs, work at heights and in confined spaces

  • Ability to work safely wearing a respirator and/or Self-contained
  • Breathing Apparatus
  • Willing to work outdoors and in inclement weather

  • Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule (including night, weekends, holidays and overtime)

Skills & Expectations

  • Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer
  • No relocation assistance provided; must reside in the Grande Prairie
  • Region or be able to get yourself to the region for work. Expect to work shifts throughout Alberta and BC as work levels vary.
  • Travel to remote regions on winter roads with potential to work alone

  • Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays

  • Willing to comply with all safety policies and procedures

  • Willing to comply with Aureus drug & alcohol-free and harassment-free work environment
  • Willing to work in a diverse and team-oriented environment
