The Position:

Agrihub provides shared services to 10 well recognized agricultural brands reaching 14 cities and employ over 200 employees with a business focus of livestock equipment and grain handling equipment. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Controller will focus on the planning, implementation and control of the financial reporting and internal control activities for thePenner Farm Service Manitobabusiness unit.You will work closely with the local and corporate finance teams, as well as the General Manager of the divisions.

The successful candidate will require sound accounting knowledge to work on a variety of tasks that consist of standard practice and procedure. This includes but is not limited to managing internal customer requests, solving problems, and providing expert financial guidance.

Responsibilities:

• Managing and facilitating the monthly financial close process for the division(s).
• Leading in the identification and design of divisional reports to help management in the decision-making process, providing accurate reporting.
• Assisting in the interpretation of financial information and providing advice in the decision-making process.
• Identification of process improvement opportunities within the divisions.
• Leading a team of divisional analysts and/or accounting technicians.
• Monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results against budget.
• Working closely with management in the annual budgeting process.

Qualifications:

• Post-Secondary Education in Business, Commerce, or a related field with a major in Accounting/Finance.
• 5+ years prior experience in a divisional controller environment or public practice.
• Designated CPA is required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly with intermediate to advance Excel skills.
