DescriptionHey! I'm Josh and I'm looking for a Studio Specialist or Studio Operator who loves to work with people in a studio environment.
You're incredibly empathetic and tech-savvy (you've used software like Logic Pro before).
This role will be working closely with local brand ambassadors and internationally renowned guest artists in our studios to capture and record lesson material and stream it live to our audience across the world!

There are two openings for this role.
Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey Duties:
  • Works with local brand ambassadors as well as internationally renowned guest artists in our studios to capture lesson material and stream live to our audience across the world.
  • Operates audio and video equipment in all our studios as well as location shoots
  • Set up the studio equipment before filming including audio recorders, DAWs, video recorders, cameras, lights, teleprompter and other production equipment
  • Assist in all levels of sound production, including sound-checking, mixing and mastering
  • Troubleshoot audiovisual equipment
  • Contribute ideas to technical designs and workflows
  • Research and Development of technical processes and workflows

Key Responsibilities:
  • Report malfunctions in equipment or systems to our manager
  • The duties of the Studio Specialist require a moderate level of autonomy
  • The role is exposed moderately to confidential data including all Musora's proprietary audio and video media and procedures, personal information of managed staff members, confidential production documents containing sensitive information and contractual obligations, financial and budgetary projects within the company and more.
  • Exposure or mismanagement of the above information could lead to exposing Musora Media from a legal standpoint, breaking of NDAs, corruption or loss of video and audio media, mismanagement of finances and expenditure
  • Artist Relations: Ensure you speak on behalf of Musora while interacting with artists, and maintaining a positive and professional environment.

Key Qualifications Knowledge/Education/Experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience working in recording studios, live production and broadcast studios
  • Minimum Certificate preferred Diploma in Music Production or equivalent professional experience
  • Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal)
  • Good knowledge and understanding of recording techniques, video capture techniques, and best mixing practices
  • Valid BC driver's license

This role requires you to be onsite most of the time.
