We are seeking an Insurance Broker who is value-oriented and well-versed in the Insurance industry with previous sales experience. If this sounds like you, we need you!

As an Insurance Broker, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Actively pursue potential clients through networking, cold calling, building referrals and implementing sales tactics to identify sales opportunities and client needs
  • Correctly assess risk and advise clients of insurance coverages altered to clients' needs including policy features such as discounts and coverage requirements
  • Remain informed about insurance products offered by contracted markets including coverage options, coverage limitations and industry trends including market regulation changes
  • Prepare quotations tailored to client requirements, risk profiles and binding upon client proposal
  • Manage insurance applications, endorsements, and paperwork efficiently through ensuring the correct documentation is in the broker management system
  • Implement underwriting guidelines administered by the company and various markets
  • Attend required training courses and education to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques and fulfil RIBO's licensing requirements of continuing education credits
  • Adhere to RIBO regulations and ethical guidelines in client interactions by maintaining confidentiality of sensitive data appropriately.
  • Build a network of COI's and maintain strong client relationships by offering ongoing support, addressing inquiries and fostering a trusting relationship.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of Insurance Sales experience is required
  • Experience in both Personal Lines or Commercial Lines is considered an asset
  • RIBO Licensed
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficiency working with Applied Rating Services, Powerbroker, and various market portals
  • Positive and ambitious attitude

Benefits

  • High Commission Compensation Package – the role is a COMMISSION ONLY based role. The potential commission earning tiers are the following in which includes new business and renewing commissions:
  • 1st year – 60k to 80k
  • 2nd year – 80k to 120k
  • 3rd year – 120k – 150k+
