Canadian Surgery Solutions (CSS) a division of Clearpoint Health Network is recruiting for an experienced 1 part-time Maintenance Worker & 1 Casual

Schedules :

  1. Part Time :- Your Schedule may be 6AM-10AM (4 Hours a day)
  2. Casual : 16 Hours a week

Position Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Director Clinical Operations, the Maintenance Worker provides support to our building by operating, maintaining, and repairing equipment such as autoclaves, washers, sterilizers and other related apparatuses. This individual is responsible for performing preventative and emergency maintenance in building operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Mechanical aptitude with experience with a variety of trades
  • Performing preventative and demand maintenance and repairs on autoclaves, washers, sterilizers, dryers, steam kettles, ovens and other related equipment
  • Maintaining, repairing, replacing and extending steam-piping systems including components of the physical plant such as expansion joints, valves, steam traps, strainers, heat exchangers, gauges and insulation
  • Monitoring and adjusting chemical treatment systems and analyzes chemical formulas
  • Testing and maintaining auxiliary power generators and repairs/adjusts as required
  • Performing analysis on boiler systems such as combustion analysis, water treatment analysis and steam efficiency analysis
  • Performing other related duties as assigned
  • Maintaining HVAC systems, including inspections, repairs, tests, etc.
  • Maintaining and repairing equipment, property, and general building and preventative maintenance
  • Inspection of facilities for safety hazards; repairing and maintaining as necessary
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism while providing exceptional service at all points of contact
  • Complete all work orders as assigned
  • Communicate effectively with management at all levels
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Qualifications

  • Certificate of competency as a 5th class Power Engineer recognized by the Province of Alberta
  • Two years of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • A good working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general facility repairs
  • Capability to work independently with some physical work required
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong written and verbal service oriented communication skills
  • Grade 10, plus four (4) years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
