Lead, Manage, Accountable (LMA) (10% Allocation)

  • Lead
    • Actively play a role in the development/performance in teammates while guiding them to set tangible obtainable goals.
    • Actively engage in ongoing learning and development to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  • Manage
    • Administer day-to-day logistics by providing a realistic, obtainable, and clear direction to your direct and indirect teams, including contractors.
    • Coach, consult and mentor teammates on correct CWL procedures and policies and
    • Industry best practices
  • Accountable
    • Provide feedback and self-awareness tools with individuals and team to support development and drive high performance among all CWL employees.
    • Develop trusting relationship across the team including all shareholders and stakeholders.

Strategy Development and Process Management (30% Allocation)

  • Develop and implement Team Services strategies that align with the overall business strategy.
  • Ensure Team Services practices support organizational goals and growth while monitoring internal policies and procedures.
  • Oversee HRIS strategy, system functionality and utilization. Utilize system functionality to increase communications and efficiencies internally with all staff.
  • Create and manage the annual Team Services budget.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs, while ensuring competitive pay structures, manage employee benefits, and address compensation-related inquiries.
  • Legal Compliance:
  • Ensure CWL practices are in line with legal standards. Monitor and maintain CWL compliance in accordance with applicable laws within the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan in daily practices.
  • Decision Support and Metrics:
    • Provide decision support to management through metrics.
    • Use data to inform Team Services strategies and decisions.
  • Weekly Management meeting participation and attendance at annual Strategy planning session

Employee Life Cycle (30% Allocation)

  • Manage the recruitment and selection process. Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and attract top talent.
  • Oversee the Onboarding process.
  • Help coordinate retention strategies, including rewards and recognition programs.
  • Monitor employee gift programs for anniversaries, milestones against budget and schedule.
  • Manage the employee separation process, including terminations, and exit interviews.
  • Training and Development
    • Assess training needs and develop and monitor training programs.
    • Promote continuous learning and skill development for employees.
  • Performance Management:
    • Implement and manage a performance appraisal system.
    • Drive high performance through regular feedback, goal setting, and performance improvement plans.
    • Administer and champion the CWL performance management program.
  • As required, coordinate and execute the talent acquisition process.

Culture and Employee Engagement (20% Allocation)

  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Respond to employee inquiries, address employee concerns, and provide employee support.
  • Support managers in resolving team conflicts, employee disagreements, confrontations, concerns, performance issues, and facilitating the corrective action process.
  • Conduct investigations in response to employee complaints.
  • Mentor managers on employee development best practices.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement.
  • Maintain a positive, customer focused environment in Team Services

Team Services Administration (10% Allocation)

  • Oversee, coordination, and when necessary complete, the administrative aspects of the Team Services department.
