Licensed Industrial Electrician (442 or 309)
Full Time Permanent Position + excellent benefits, overtime, etc.
SHIFT: 2nd shift (afternoon shift); 3:00pm 11:30pm Monday Friday
LOCATION: Etobicoke ON
INDUSTRY: Food 24/7 operation

Responsibilities:

Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.

Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, VFD's and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.

Replace faulty electrical components of the machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices.

Troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs and able to program automated machinery such as palletizers etc.

Test for malfunctions and verify repairs.

Troubleshoot and/or replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.

Familiar with WHMIS, GMP's and good health and safety work practices

Good working knowledge of Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers installs and repairs electrical systems and apparatus, as well as electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.

Qualifications:

Holds a valid Industrial Electrician 442A or 309A

3+ years electrical maintenance experience in the Food Industry.

Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings and specifications.

Experienced with troubleshooting and programming PLC based control systems as well as relay logic.

Experience working with hand and power tools.
