About the Role:

Reporting

The Tool Attendant reports directly to the Senior Materials Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, and maintain hand tools, machine tools, dies, materials, and equipment.
  • Issue tools and equipment to technician through the computerized ERP system.
  • Updating the computerized ERP system to ensure accurate tool information and tracking, including inventory counts, logistics functions, and calibration status.
  • Requisitioning new tools through the ERP system as required.
  • Inspecting new and returned tools for detects and wear. Recording deficiencies in accordance to company processes.
  • Servicing the cleaning tools after use, as required.
  • Tagging and removing tools from service as required.
  • Identifying tools and equipment per company procedures.
  • Assisting the Stores team with all activities as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school education or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Genial, friendly manner.

Experience

  • 1 to 3 years of experience working in a production or tool crib environment is required.
  • Aviation experience is considered an asset.
