ENTREC Alberta Ltd., a diversified trucking company (a member of LAPRAIRIE Group of Companies) is recruiting a full-time Heavy Duty Journeyman Mechanic to join its growing team in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Responsibilities:

• Inspecting trucks, trailers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.
• Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment.
• Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts.
• Repairing damaged equipment parts.
• Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty and automotive vehicles.
• Repairing and servicing machine attachments.
• Performing major repair work when necessary.
• Driving to various job sites.
• Consulting with other Mechanics and Supervisor when needed.

Desired skills and Experience:

• Trade Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.

• 3 years experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic or related role.

• Must have a Class 5 driver's license and a CVIP license.
• Proven work experience with diesel or heavy equipment.
• Understanding of computer testing technologies.
• Ability to lift heavy machinery.
• Extensive knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic & electrical systems, and construction equipment.
• Ability to work after-hours if required.
• Good communication skills.
