We are seeking a talented and experienced Sales and Operations Manager to join our team at our Victoria Location. HME Home Health is a fast-growing company with 120+ full-time staff in seven locations across B.C. in Richmond, South Surrey, Victoria, Nanaimo, Kelowna, and North Vancouver.
Job Overview:
Reporting to the COO, this position will oversee a team of 7-10 employees.
Responsibilities include:
Sales and Operations Management:
- Oversee and Manage Inside and Outside Sales Staff and Fulfillment, including:
- Assisting with hiring, training, performance reviews.
- Training and onboarding of new team members
- Coaching team members and other personnel
- Work with team to review, update and manage processes and adhere to company policy and procedures.
- Vacation and Sick Time approvals
- Monitoring of the work flow and encourage growth of all team members.
- General Management, including:
- Assist with setting sales targets for all sales reps
- Ensure all sales budgets are adhered to.
- Assist with business development activities, including attendance at tradeshows, in-services and general client meetings.
- Monitor demo equipment processes
- Liaise with fulfillment and purchasing departments on inventory requirements
- Provide monthly reporting to Senior Leadership
- Coordinate on-going product training for staff
- Ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
- Oversight and management of customer service and warehouse teams, including direct management, supervision, coaching and training.
- Ensure timely completion of customer services tasks, including quotation and order preparation, scheduling, order processing, and retail customer service.
- Ensure timely completion of warehouse tasks, including oversight of shipping, receiving, inventory control, order picking, and other warehouse duties.
- Supervise completion of equipment builds by technical staff to ensure order accuracy.
- Assisting with inventory controls such as barcoding and internal transfers of stock.
- Ensure overall Warehouse organization and cleanliness.
- Ensure quality assurance standards are met.
- Attendance at Quarterly leadership meetings and all manager training sessions is required.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Post Secondary Education
- 3+ years experience in managing a team of employees
- Previous sales management is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability and willingness to handle technical and task-oriented activities.
- Interacts respectfully and cooperatively.
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
- The ability to work independently and in a team environment
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. This position is overtime exempt and no remote work option is available.
Travel Requirements:
This position requires occasional travel to other HME Locations. A company vehicle or vehicle allowance and gas card are provided.
