Lawson Lundell LLP is seeking a talented and highly motivated real estate lawyer with 2 to 7 years of experience to join our Calgary office. Some of the core responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Managing acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate
  • Handling real estate financing matters
  • Drafting agreements in relation to real estate development corporate structure
  • Legal research for all manner of real estate related issues
  • Negotiating with various levels of government regarding: development approvals; land use; zoning; variances; and expropriation
  • Handling subdivision matters
  • Negotiating, advising and preparing leases for landlords and tenants

Required experience:

  • 2+ years of experience within real estate law
  • Experience advising clients with respect to real estate matters
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Confidence in engaging and interacting with clients
  • Exceptional work ethic and commitment to client service
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
