Lawson Lundell LLP is seeking a talented and highly motivated real estate lawyer with 2 to 7 years of experience to join our Calgary office. Some of the core responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to:
- Managing acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate
- Handling real estate financing matters
- Drafting agreements in relation to real estate development corporate structure
- Legal research for all manner of real estate related issues
- Negotiating with various levels of government regarding: development approvals; land use; zoning; variances; and expropriation
- Handling subdivision matters
- Negotiating, advising and preparing leases for landlords and tenants
Required experience:
- 2+ years of experience within real estate law
- Experience advising clients with respect to real estate matters
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Confidence in engaging and interacting with clients
- Exceptional work ethic and commitment to client service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
