This job contributes to Retailors success by supporting the effective delivery of Visual Merchandising initiatives.

Job Summary:

The Regional Visual Merchandising Manager, reporting directly to the Director of Visual Merchandising, plays a pivotal role in realizing Retailors Inc. / Nike's overarching merchandising vision and strategy within stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing visual merchandising to ensure adherence to brand guidelines and promotional initiatives across all Nike stores.
  • Collaborating closely with Nike partners and cross-functional teams within Retailors Inc. to align merchandising initiatives with corporate strategy.
  • Building, leading, and nurturing a team of visual coaches across all stores.
  • Directing training initiatives related to merchandising best practices in accordance with Nike global standards.
  • Serving as a liaison with store teams to ensure the proper execution of seasonal directives and brand initiatives.
  • Evaluating overall merchandising strategies and initiatives, providing feedback and insights for improvement.
  • Reviewing monthly sales and product performance reports to implement merchandising updates aimed at enhancing category performance.
  • Creating and participating in strategic promotional initiatives.
  • Playing a pivotal role in new store openings by partnering with the construction team, merchandising department, and Nike partners to oversee visual merchandising set-up.
  • Maintaining a keen awareness of market trends to ensure a competitive advantage.
  • Allocating 60% of time to store visits and 30% to office-based tasks.
  • Traveling up to 30% of the time each month.
  • Developing and sustaining vendor partnerships.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in merchandise management.
  • Experience with multi-location and multi-product line retail concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a proven ability to develop and present market trends, sales, and forecasting data.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and implement effective merchandising strategies.
  • Experience in vendor relationship management and negotiations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, people management, and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to build, motivate, and manage an effective team.
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels, coupled with a robust business acumen.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office, Adobe, Word, and Excel.
  • A dedicated and professional individual willing to take initiative to deliver results.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be willing/flexible to work based on workload peaks/retail operating hours.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Frequent repetitive movements include stoop, kneel, bend, twist, lift, squat, push, pull, etc.
  • Occasionally required to climb or crawl.
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Regular travel is required.

This role is a full-time, on-site permanent position at our BC Head Office and in store.

Salary Range -$75,000 - $80,000 per year
