Caron is currently recruiting this exciting position for our Head Office in Sherwood Park. The Accounting Administrator will report directly to the Accounting Manager and Accounting Supervisor. The role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions including driver and owner operator pay.

Our ideal candidate:

• 2+ Years related experience
• Knowledge of trucking industry considered an asset
• Diploma or Certificate in related field an asset
• Valid driver's license

The role:

• Manipulate and enter daily hauler reports and tickets/orders to coincide with driver/owner operator pay, ensuring customers are invoiced in a timely manner
• Communicate with customers on rate discrepancies and requests
• Communicate with co-workers regarding invoicing and driver pay issues
• Process company/owner operator pay including verified WCB clearances as required
• Match purchase orders to invoices and code/enter all invoices into Axon
• Ensure all past due accounts are collected in a reasonable and timely fashion while maintaining good working relationships with customers
• Complete regularly scheduled cheque runs
• Reconcile and review all supplier statements
• Ensure all time sensitive material is completed on time to avoid penalties
• Complete daily bank deposits and reconcile to customer accounts
• Keep all files up to date and prepare same for year end
• Meet deadlines for driver pay and month end
• Assist with reception if required
• Perform general office duties and assist with projects as assigned by supervisor/management
